Will it fit in your room?

Enter both sides, the longest section and the diagonal depth, then your doorway, hall and the two walls of the corner. Sections travel one at a time, so the doorway checks use the longest one.

Through the doorwayFits

Tilted back, it needs 82 cm of width. Your doorway is 91 cm wide, so there is 9 cm to spare.

Each section is tilted through on its own. Use the diagonal depth printed for the sections, or measure one with its cushions off.

Getting the length inFits

At 190 cm it can stand on end under your 203 cm doorway.

Only the longest section has to get in this way; the corner piece is usually the shortest.

Along the wallFits

The long side takes 280 cm of your 320 cm wall and the return 180 cm of your 240 cm side wall.

Long side along one wall, return along the other. Leave the walkway on the open side, see the table.

Fitting a corner? Photograph both walls, mark their lengths in SizeMarker and check which side the return goes on before you order.

Height, seats and room around it

An L-shape takes a corner and a walkway, so the room matters as much as the sofa.

Questions

How big is an L-shaped sectional?

Most are 274–305 cm (108–120 in) on the long side with a return of about 183 cm (72 in). Across all sizes the long side runs 244–366 cm (96–144 in) and the return 152–244 cm (60–96 in).

What do LAF and RAF mean on a sectional?

Left arm facing and right arm facing. They say which side the arm is on when you stand facing the piece, not when you sit on it, so a RAF piece has its arm on your right as you look at it.

Does an L-shaped sectional arrive in one piece?

Usually not. It comes as sections, for example a RAF wedge, an armless sofa and a LAF sofa, and each goes through the door on its own. Measure the longest section against the doorway, not the whole long side.

How big a room do you need for an L-shaped sectional?

About 4.9 × 4.3 m (16 × 14 ft) or larger. Leave 91 cm (36 in) of walkway around the open side and 30–46 cm (12–18 in) behind it if it stands away from the wall.

Are sectional seats deeper than a sofa’s?

Often, especially with a chaise. A standard seat is 51–61 cm (20–24 in) deep; deep-seat designs are 64 cm (25 in) or more.

For sectional suppliers

With sectionals, the questions buyers ask are about configuration: which end is LAF or RAF, how long each section is, what the corner piece measures. Mark every section on your product photo in SizeMarker and send the set as one product card for WhatsApp or WeChat.
