A TV stand should be wider than the TV: IKEA pairs a 40–59 in (102–150 cm) bench with TVs up to 58 in, and an 80+ in (203+ cm) bench with TVs up to 99 in. Verified depths run 13.75–18.5 in (35–47 cm); place the screen center near 42 in (107 cm).
Width (a) runs along the front and should exceed the TV's physical width; depth (b) is driven by AV equipment; height (c) is the stand itself — combined with placement it sets whether the screen center lands near the 42 in (107 cm) seated eye-line.

A spec table only helps if the buyer reads it. Many don't — shoppers routinely try to judge a product's size straight from the images, and wrong size or fit is the most-cited reason things get returned. The fix is to mark the real dimensions on the photo itself, where the buyer is already looking.
SizeMarker snaps dimension lines to the tv stand / media console's edges and exports at Amazon or Alibaba size, so the measurement is accurate and legible — not a guess typed over the picture. That answers the size question up front and cuts pre-sale questions and size-driven returns.

At minimum, wider than the screen itself. IKEA pairs a 40–59 in (102–150 cm) stand with TVs up to 58 in — since a 55–58 in TV is only about 48–51 in (123–130 cm) wide, that leaves roughly 8–11 in of margin. At 58–72 in, move up to a 60–79 in (152–201 cm) stand.
A 65 in TV is about 57.1 in (145 cm) wide (LG), so a 60–79 in (152–201 cm) stand works well — e.g. IKEA STOCKHOLM 2025 (70.375 in) or BESTÅ (70.875 in), both rated for TVs up to 70–72 in.
Verified retail examples run 13.75–18.5 in (35–47 cm) deep. Go with the deeper 16.5–18.5 in (42–47 cm) end if you need to fit a soundbar, AV receiver or game console; shallower 13.75–14.125 in (35–36 cm) consoles suit wall-hugging rooms.
Aim for the screen center about 42 in (107 cm) from the floor — SANUS's baseline for average seated eye level — adjusting a few inches for low sofas or deep recliners.
IKEA's TV bench lineup spans 15–25 in (38–64 cm), and verified products range 14.125–22.5 in (36–57 cm). Lower stands (14–15 in / 36–38 cm) pair best with low seating so the screen center still lands near the 42 in (107 cm) eye-line.
