Where floor is short. Sauder sells corner stands as a space-saving way to keep a TV out of the way in a bedroom, guest room, playroom, home office or basement.
It can be. SANUS points out that there are far fewer corner cabinets to choose from than rectangular ones, and that a corner-mounted TV actually hangs on the wall next to the corner, from the stud nearest to it.
As for any TV: about 1.2 × the diagonal, so Samsung gives 1.7 m (5.5 ft) for a 55 in TV and 2.0 m (6.5 ft) for 65 in. Aim for the screen to fill 30–40° of your view.
Corner stands are bought by the TV they take, so buyers ask for the front width, the depth back to the corner, the largest and heaviest TV it is rated for, and whether it anchors to the wall.
