Dimensions / Furniture / TV stands / Floating TV stand
A floating TV stand is a console fixed to the wall with nothing underneath, usually 30–38 cm (12–15 in) tall. Room & Board’s Hover is 152 × 38 × 30 cm (60 × 15 × 12 in) and holds 79 kg (175 lb) when fixed at five points, at least three of them in wood studs; studs are usually 41 or 61 cm (16 or 24 in) apart, so a wider console reaches more of them.

Enter the console, your TV and your wall. Each check uses the numbers in the tables on this page.
Lengths in centimetres; TV size in inches, as sold; weights in kilograms. 1 in = 2.54 cm.
It is 29 cm wider than your 123 cm TV, and about 20 cm or more is the guide.
Take the TV width from its spec sheet, not from the screen size.
With studs 40.6 cm apart, a console 152 cm wide crosses at least 3 wherever it hangs, and it needs 2.
Studs are usually 41 or 61 cm apart; find them with a stud finder before you drill.
Your 25 kg is within its 79 kg load.
The rated load assumes the console is fixed as the instructions say; IKEA’s depends on the wall.

Usually long and shallow: Room & Board’s Hover is 152 × 38 × 30 cm (60 × 15 × 12 in) and its Coles 122 × 46 × 38 cm (48 × 18 × 15 in). IKEA hangs only its 38 cm (15 in) high BESTÅ TV units on the wall.
Only what its fixings allow. Room & Board rates the Hover at 79 kg (175 lb) when installed with five attachment points; IKEA says the load for a wall-hung BESTÅ depends on the wall material, and its EKET media shelf takes 15 kg (33 lb).
Room & Board recommends wood studs: at least 2 of 4 fixings for a 122 cm (48 in) console and 3 for 152–183 cm (60–72 in). Studs are 41 or 61 cm (16 or 24 in) apart in modern homes, so check how many a console crosses.
IKEA Japan says the screws for a wall-hung BESTÅ must go into a wall stud or a 12 mm plywood backing, and that it cannot be hung on earthen, plaster, sand, block or tiled walls.
No. IKEA allows only its 38 cm (15 in) high BESTÅ TV units on the wall; the 64 cm (25 1/4 in) version must stand on the floor.
IKEA’s BESTÅ rail needs at least 5 cm (2 in) between the top of the frame and the ceiling to hang it, and a 120 cm (47¼ in) frame takes two 60 cm (23 5/8 in) rails.
Floating consoles are bought for the wall they hang on, so buyers ask for the size, the rated load and how it fixes: how many points, into what. Mark the real sizes on your own product photo in SizeMarker, as in the picture at the top, and send one product card for WhatsApp or WeChat.
