Seat height for your legsFits

Your 46 cm from floor to knee is within its 44–50 cm seat height, so your feet can rest flat with your thighs level.

Some executive seats sit high: Serta’s Arlington AIR starts at 51 cm.

Seat depth for your thighsFits

It leaves 8 cm between the seat edge and the back of your knee, and 5 cm or more is enough.

Thick cushions make a seat deeper than it looks: measure to the front of the cushion.

Armrests under the deskFits

With the seat at 46 cm, the armrests at their lowest come to 66 cm, under your 68 cm desk.

Many executive chairs have fixed arms, so their lowest height is their only height.

Questions

How tall is an executive chair?

About 102–116 cm (40–45.5 in): the Eames Aluminum Group with the executive back is 102–107 cm, La-Z-Boy’s Elleport 108 cm and Serta’s Arlington AIR 116 cm.

What is the difference between an executive and a management chair?

Mostly the back. Herman Miller sells the Eames Aluminum Group both ways: 102–107 cm (40–42 in) tall with the executive back, 83–88 cm (32.5–34.5 in) with the management back.

Does an executive chair need a headrest?

If it reclines more than 115–120°, ANSI/HFES calls for an adjustable headrest. A back that supports the head and neck may need to be about 91 cm (36 in) for a 95th-percentile man.

Is bonded leather real leather?

Only in part. The bonded leather on Serta’s Arlington AIR is 17% leather fibre and 83% other material.

How much weight can an executive chair hold?

It depends on the model: 136 kg (300 lb) for the Eames Aluminum Group, 125 kg (275 lb) for Serta’s Arlington AIR and 113 kg (250 lb) for La-Z-Boy’s Elleport.

For office chair suppliers

Executive chair buyers compare overall height, seat size, the upholstery and the weight limit, and they rarely see the back height stated. Mark the real sizes on your own chair photo in SizeMarker, as in the picture at the top, and send one product card for WhatsApp or WeChat.
