Enter the table, your sofa and the space in front of it. The table goes in the middle, long side to the sofa; each check uses the numbers in the tables on this page.
All in centimetres. 1 in = 2.54 cm.
Set 36 cm from the sofa, the table leaves 94 cm on the far side, and a walkway needs 76 cm.
Measure from the front of the sofa seat to the TV stand or whatever stands opposite.
At 120 cm it is between half and two-thirds of your 210 cm sofa (105–140 cm).
For a sectional, measure the side the table faces.
At 45 cm it is 1 cm below your 46 cm sofa seat, within 5 cm.
A lift-top is checked at its lowered height.

About 122 × 61 cm (48 × 24 in), 41–46 cm (16–18 in) tall. Most are 107–152 cm (42–60 in) long and 61–76 cm (24–30 in) wide.
About two-thirds of the sofa. Castlery suggests 99–132 cm (39–52 in) for a 200 cm (79 in) three-seater and 109–147 cm (43–58 in) for a 220 cm (87 in) sofa.
Castlery pairs a standard sofa with a table 46–76 cm (18–30 in) wide; wider tops leave less floor between the sofa and the TV stand, so check the walkway too.
It lines up with a standard sofa, and it gives you two ends to use: snacks at one end, books at the other, as Castlery puts it.
Yes. Living Spaces finds that rectangular and oval tables affect traffic flow less than square or round ones, and suggests them for narrow spaces.
One whose top lifts up toward dining height, for eating or working from the sofa. Castlery’s Seb, 120 × 60 × 45 cm, holds 40 kg (88.2 lb) closed and 20 kg (44.1 lb) open.
Rectangular tables are bought against a sofa, so buyers ask for the length first, then the width and height, and for lift-tops the load when raised. Mark the real sizes on your own product photo in SizeMarker, as in the picture at the top, and send one product card for WhatsApp or WeChat.
