Dimensions / Furniture / Coffee tables / Round
A round coffee table is usually 76–122 cm (30–48 in) across and 41–46 cm (16–18 in) tall. With no corners it is easier to walk round in a small or busy living room, and safer with young children; in a small room a 76–91 cm (30–36 in) round table often beats a short rectangle.

Enter the table, your sofa and the space in front of it. The table goes in the middle, in front of the sofa; each check uses the numbers in the tables on this page.
All in centimetres. 1 in = 2.54 cm.
Set 36 cm from the sofa, the table leaves 84 cm on the far side, and a walkway needs 76 cm.
Measure from the front of the sofa seat to the TV stand or whatever stands opposite.
At 90 cm it is no longer than two-thirds of your 180 cm sofa (120 cm).
A round table is sized to the people round it, so only the upper limit applies.
At 45 cm it is 1 cm below your 46 cm sofa seat, within 5 cm.
Measure the sofa seat at the top of the cushion, where you sit.

76–122 cm (30–48 in) across and 41–46 cm (16–18 in) tall. IKEA’s KRAGSTA, for example, is 90 cm across and 48 cm tall.
Size it to the people round it: Flowyline suggests 76–81 cm (30–32 in) for 2 to 3 people, 91–97 cm (36–38 in) for 3 to 4, and 112–122 cm (44–48 in) for 5 to 6 round a sectional.
Often, yes. In a small room a 76–91 cm (30–36 in) round table tends to work better than a short rectangle, because it leaves more walking space.
IKEA points out that its circular shape has no sharp corners, which makes it a safer choice in households with children or pets.
It does: Room & Board notes that a round table complements a sectional because it removes corners and leaves the most walkable floor.
Curved ones. Castlery’s rule is that a curvy sofa calls for a round or oval table to follow its lines, while a sharply angular sofa looks better with a rectangle or square.
IKEA’s point is that everyone sitting round a circle can see and talk to everyone else, which is why a round table often becomes the centre of a living room.
Round tables are bought for small or busy rooms, so buyers ask for the diameter and height and what fits on the top. Mark the real diameter and height on your own product photo in SizeMarker, as in the picture at the top, and send one product card for WhatsApp or WeChat.
