Dimensions / Building materials / PVC pipe / Schedule 80 PVC
Schedule 80 PVC is the thick-wall ASTM D1785 pipe: 2 in Sch 80 has the same 2.375 in (60.3 mm) outside diameter as Sch 40 but a 0.218 in wall, a 1.913 in average ID and 400 psi at 73 °F, 93.6 lb per 100 ft (Charlotte, GF Harvel). It is grey, mostly 20 ft plain end, and the one PVC schedule makers allow to be threaded: a threaded joint keeps 50% of the rating, and threading stops at 4 in (GF, IPEX, UFGS). Sizes start at 1/4 in, rated 1130 psi. Its D2467 fittings have 1.500 in sockets at 2 in, and Charlotte rates fittings at 60% of the pipe.

Ten plain-end 2 in lengths on couplings for a 200 ft line, threaded joints at 100 psi and 100 °F, and one pipe measured with calipers are filled in; try a size, a hotter line or solvent-welded joints.
Only the temperatures the makers tabulate are offered; for water in between, take the hotter one. Weights are Charlotte’s, per 100 ft as sold.
Plain-end 2 in Sch 80 joined with couplings: each 20 ft length adds 240.125 in, the pipe plus the 1/8 in left between pipe ends inside a coupling, so 200 ft takes 10 lengths and 9 couplings; you have 10. At 93.6 lb per 100 ft they weigh 187.2 lb.
Plain-end 20 ft lengths with couplings; Charlotte leaves 1/8 in between pipe ends in a 2 in coupling.
Threaded 2 in Sch 80 keeps 50% of the plain-end rating: 400 psi × 0.62 at 100 °F × 50% is 124 psi, enough for your 100 psi.
Threaded 2 in Sch 80 keeps half of 400 psi, then 0.62 of that at 100 °F.
2 in Sch 80: outside diameter 2.375 ± 0.006 in, so 2.369–2.381; wall at least 0.218 in and at most 0.244. Your 2.373 in and 0.23 in are within both.
Spears: ±0.006 in on a 2 in pipe; Rain Bird: 0.218 in wall plus 0.026 in.

2.375 in (60.3 mm) outside, a 0.218 in minimum wall, a 1.913 in average ID, 400 psi at 73 °F and 93.6 lb per 100 ft (Charlotte, GF Harvel).
Yes, it is the one PVC schedule makers allow to be threaded, but a threaded joint keeps 50% of the rating (1 in: 630 to 315 psi), and IPEX and UFGS stop at 4 in.
At 73 °F: 850 psi at 1/2 in, 630 at 1 in, 400 at 2 in, 320 at 4 in and 280 at 6 in. Multiply by .62 at 100 °F and .22 at 140 °F.
At 1/2 to 2 in and at 4 in, yes: 1.500 against 1.156 in at 2 in. The socket diameters are the same, so the pipe goes into either.
1/4 in: 0.540 in outside, a 0.119 in wall and 1130 psi at 73 °F (Charlotte); 3/8 in is next at 920 psi.
Charlotte advises against it: Sch 80 is not listed for DWV, and its much smaller bore does not match Sch 40 DWV fittings.
Industrial buyers of Sch 80 want the size and wall against D1785, the rating with and without threads, the thread standard, plain end or belled, the colour, and the fittings to D2467 or D2464 that go with it. Mark those on your own pipe with SizeMarker, as in the picture above, and share the card.
