Dimensions / Building materials / Tiles / Porcelain slab
Large porcelain slabs come up to 1620 × 3240 mm (Laminam; at least 1630 × 3250 mm as made) and 160 × 320 cm (Marazzi, Atlas Plan, Florim), with Laminam’s 1000 × 3000 mm and 120 × 240 and 120 × 278 cm formats below. ANSI A137.3 calls anything of one square metre of face or more a panel or slab, and sorts gauged ones into 3.5–4.9 mm, 5.0–6.5 mm and 20 mm and thicker. Laminam 5+ weighs 14.9 kg/m², about 78 kg for a full slab, and ships 14 to a 1240 kg crate; Crossville says two installers should carry a panel, always kept vertical.

Laminam 5+ at 1620 × 3240 mm is filled in. Enter your area, the slab, your lift and the floor; each check follows a figure on this page, and the lift check is geometry.
Slabs are moved and taken up in the lift standing on edge, kept vertical. The lift check is plain geometry: no slab maker publishes clearances.
30 m² plus 10% for cuts is 33 m²: 7 slabs of 5.25 m², about 548 kg at 14.9 kg/m². Your 7 slabs cover it.
Laminam 5+ at 1620 × 3240 mm, 14 slabs and 73.5 m² to a crate (5.25 m² a slab) at 14.9 kg/m², is filled in for 30 m² plus 10%.
Standing on its long edge across the cabin, the 3250 × 1630 mm slab needs a floor diagonal of 3250 mm and 1630 mm of height; the 2000 × 2800 × 2400 mm cabin has 3441 mm and 2400 mm.
The full size, at least 1630 × 3250 mm, and an example 2000 × 2800 × 2400 mm goods lift are filled in. Geometry only: no maker gives lift sizes.
For Laminam slabs, the surface may vary by 3 mm in 2 m; your 2 mm gap is within it.
Laminam allows 3 mm under a 2 m straightedge laid in every direction; a 2 mm gap is an example.

Up to 1620 × 3240 mm for Laminam, at least 1630 × 3250 mm as made, and 160 × 320 cm for Marazzi, Atlas Plan and Florim, with 1000 × 3000 mm (Laminam) and 120 × 240, 120 × 278 and 120 × 120 cm formats below. Atlas Plan bills a 162 × 324 cm slab as 160x320.
Gauged panels and slabs are 3.5–4.9 mm or 5.0–6.5 mm under ANSI A137.3, with a class for 20 mm and thicker. Laminam makes 3.5, 5.8, 6.2, 12.5 and 20.5 mm, Marazzi 6 and 12 mm, Atlas Plan 6, 12 and 20 mm.
Laminam 5+ is 14.9 kg/m², so a 1620 × 3240 mm slab of 5.25 m² weighs about 78 kg; Laminam 5 is 14.5 kg/m², 12+ 30 and 20+ 50.4. A Marazzi 120 × 240 cm slab at 6 mm weighs 45.90 kg.
Only if the cabin’s floor diagonal is longer than the slab and the cabin is taller than its width, since slabs travel standing on edge: a 1630 × 3250 mm slab needs a 3250 mm diagonal. No slab maker publishes clearances, so measure the lift, doors and stairs first.
No closer than 50 mm to the outside edge or to the next opening (Laminam, Marazzi, Atlas Plan), with inside corners rounded to at least 5 mm.
Buyers ask for the billed and full size, thickness and whether it is mesh-backed, weight per square metre and per slab, how many slabs go in a crate or on an A-frame and what that weighs, fork length, the finish and vein match, and cut-out rules for worktops. Mark the real slab and its crate on your own photo in SizeMarker, as in the picture at the top, and send one product card for WhatsApp or WeChat.
